Two years of curls!

Y'all, Thursday was a big day for @saloncleancurly! 🎉 and we’re so grateful for the outpouring of love!

But first, our origin story. I started Clean & Curly in 2018 when I opened my first suite, after eight years behind the chair. Then I moved to the Jacksonville/Saint Augustine area right before everything hit the fan in 2020. Within a year of rebuilding, I was so booked that I had to close my books. That showed me how badly this area needed a full-service curly salon. I never intended to be a salon owner, but something kept pushing me that way.

It took two entire years to find the right space, and I'm so thankful for @kaylacampbellrealestate, who was instrumental in that process. I wouldn't be where I am without her.

When we finally started the build-out, I realized we were on track to open near my mother's birthday. My beautiful mama Jo is another person I wouldn't be here without, so I pushed as hard as I could to open on her day as a way to honor her.

The last two years have had their ups and downs, but it's all been for the best. I'm so grateful for every client who has come through our doors and every person who helped us get here.

Big things are coming, and I can't wait to share them with you.
